Diversity Initiatives
Diversity Week
Every year a diverse group students, faculty, staff and campus organizations that represent a cross section of groups plan and implement a week of events that are fun, interactive and informative to all participants in the area of diversity.
In an effort to make Diversity Week a big success and ensure that students are exposed to the variety of similarities and differences represented in our society, all student groups are encouraged to attend at least 1 of the planned events during Diversity Week as a group. Experiencing something new can be scary for some people, but if experienced with friends, it can be an enjoyable experience.
This week is dedicated to diversity on all levels; including cultural and ethnic, religious and spiritual, gender and sexuality, and (dis)ability. Activities can range from movies, panels, discussion groups and cultural talent; dance and foods; to game nights, and fun activities.
All are invited to participate in this yearly event; Parents, NSU and the Tahlequah communities.
