Guidelines for Using Student Affairs to Post Calendar Dates

In an effort to provide a resource to students, staff, and faculty of NSU related to dates and events that impact campus, a calendar has been created. In order to post a date on the calendar, the following policies and guidelines have been enacted.

  • · E-mail requests must be submitted by a recognized student organization, or by a student/staff/faculty member representing a department/academic program.
  • · Requests must contain the following information (those not containing all required information may not be posted on the calendar):
    • · Submitter Information: Your name, e-mail address, and phone number (this will not be made public to students)
    • · Event Name: Be specific, concise, and catchy
    • · Date of Event: State which dates this should be placed on in the calendar
    • · Details: The specifics related to the event must be spell checked, grammar checked. Cannot exceed 3,000 characters.
    • · Sponsoring Organization: Indicate the campus organization or unit sponsoring the event.
    • · Link: Provide a complete url where students may find additional information, if applicable.
    • · Contact Information: Include the name and e-mail address of an individual students may contact for additional information.
  • · Messages must be strictly related to university matters, concerns, operations, events or other items of interest pertaining to university related activities, students, student organizations, faculty and staff. Specifically, no commercial business or politically motivated information may be included on the calendar.
  • · Content must be consistent with existing university policies governing conduct of members of university community.
  • · Content may not be purely personal nature such as classified advertisements or other similar solicitations.

To submit information for inclusion in the calendar of events, please send an e-mail containing all of the requested information to updates@nsuok.edu.
