Committee Descriptions

Café Divan
Coffee house series featuring acoustic acts, four shows and two Open-Mic Nights a year, held at the Jazz Lab. One show during Homecoming.

Concerts
Two big concerts, including Keith Anderson. Other concert(s) could be Rocktoberfest and/or Aprilpalooza.

Comedy Club
Two comedians per year and one big event, i.e., Price is Right.

For All Mankind (FAM)
One big cultural event, possibly during Diversity Week. Four events to expand the cultural awareness for the NSU community.

Films
Organizing movie nights on campus as well as stress free zone during finals week.

NSU Fame
Showcasing student talent with karaoke, Battle of the Stars, contests, and other events.

RiverHawk Pride
Building the NAB homecoming float, and promoting NSU athletic events to encourage school pride.

Road Trips
Organizing events outside of campus, including nights at the movie theater, sporting events, skatehouse, and one big road trip.

Wild Card
Welcome Week Merchant Mall, two other events, and providing inflatables and novelties for other events.

Volunteer for an NAB committee

The Northeastern Activities Board is your chance to enhance your campus life by planning events that YOU want to come to.

To become a volunteer, download the Committee Interest Form (pdf) to your computer. When you are finished filling out the interest form Save it and email it to Todd Newcomb at newcomts@nsuok.edu. Or you can Print it, fill it out by hand, and return it to the NAB Office located in the UC Basement.

There's never a cost to join, and our events are always free. Want to show a movie still in theaters? Have a favorite band you'd love to see live? Interested in planning a cool road trip? All this and more is right at your footsteps...
