The Federal Work-Study program allows undergraduate and graduate students with financial need to work part-time on or off campus to earn money to help pay for educational expenses. The program encourages on-campus work related to your course of study and a flexible work schedule. If awarded work-study you may work up to 15 hours a week, depending on your class schedule and academic progress. Work-study earnings are at least minimum wage. To apply for work-study complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and indicate your interest in work study.

Institutional Employment assists undergraduate and graduate students to find part-time employment on campus. Average hours are 15 to 20 per week at minimum wage. The Office of Student Financial Services will post job opportunities and assist you in finding a part-time job on campus that will work around your class schedule. All jobs pay at least minimum wage, and you do not have to be on financial aid to apply.

Position: Student Callers - Contacting alumni and friends of NSU in a fundraising capacity. Callers will solicit gifts for NSU, provide information about the University, specific colleges or programs, and update alumni records. Callers must maintain confientiality of information. Time: 5:45-9:00pm; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Benefits: Professional training-develop marketable job skills and gain valuable experience in public relations, communications, fundraising and marketing. Increased knowledge of NSU. Resume builder/unique job experience. Qualifications: Dependable and motivated student with excellent telephone skills and clear speaking voice. Willing to follow instructions with a high regard for detail. Eager to convey enthusiasm for NSU in a positive and mature manner. Comfortable building a case and asking for a gift from alumni and friends of NSU. Callers are responsible for working a minimum of 6 hours per week (2 shifts), find your own replacements if you are unable to work a scheduled shift.
