Liberal arts students wishing to pursue graduate accounting study can receive financial aid through this program. Scholarships are available to all liberal arts degree holders of any regionally-accredited U.S. institution who wish to pursue a CPA certificate. Scholarships are given based on academic achievement, leadership, and future career interests and are contingent upon acceptance in a graduate accounting program. The Tahlequah Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is seeking applications for a $500 scholarship and one-year membership in AAUW for a graduate woman enrolled part-time or full-time at Northeastern State University. The applicant must be admitted to the graduate college and have a 3.5 GPA in all graduate course work; or if no graduate hours have been completed, a 3.0 undergraduate GPA. Applications should be postmarked by March 26 and can be picked up from Dr. Amy Aldridge Sanford in Leoser Center at NSU or by emailing aldridga@nsuok.edu. The scholarship will be awarded in May and the money will be disbursed in early fall upon proof of enrollment.
