Specific Requirements for Preparation for Professional Schools

Pre-Occupational Therapy

The Pre-Occupational Therapy program is designed to meet the requirements of the Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The applicant must have completed a minimum of 90 hours with a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale and a minimum C grade in each required course. To be considered for admission to OU the applicant must complete a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, OR complete requirements to be eligible to earn the Bachelor of Science in Health Studies degree after completion of 30 hours in the program. Applicants must observe a minimum of 40 hours in an occupational therapy setting and take the Graduate Record Exam prior to the February 1 application date. Early admission is available.
